The Haze Watch project is an initiative by a team of students from the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Australia. The Haze Watch project aims to implement:
1.Mobile Sensor: measures air pollution
2.Smart Phone: uploads via mobile network to database
3.Database server: stores pollution data and models pollution based on data
4.Web interface: overlays pollution map and displays on Google maps
Haze-Dose helps users to personalise air pollution exposure. By integrating air pollution concentration and personal activity information, users can get their air pollution dose data in real-time. Air pollution data is contributed by government air pollution monitoring station and other data contributors in Sydney, and activity data can be either acquired by manually input or from Fitbit activity sensor.
